Pretty Girls Don't Eat Pizza

Or maybe they do...

What's this all about?

"Write in a book all these things I have spoken to you." - Jeremiah 30:2

Four years ago, I was put on assignment to write a book about something I equally knew so much yet so little about-- eating disorders.

I was diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa in early 2021 and battled it for 10 years of my life. I wanted to write the resource that my 16 year old self was desperate to read; Not a self-help book, a medical textbook, or even a faith-based book trying to cure readers by sharing how God made all foods clean.

I wanted to hear an honest story to prove that there was at least one other person who understood me, had a similar mind, and could share where God fit in her own story. "Pretty Girls Don't Eat Pizza: How an eating disorder taught me I am enough" is my story about my experience living with an eating disorder.

Inside you'll find relatable themes, you'll experience the day-in-the-life of someone with an eating disorder, read about the things that cause and sustain this disorder, learn the medical and psychological truths about it, and hopefully uncover, as I did, that even if there is no promise of complete healing, there is hope, grace and even joy.
